Ian Wright wants Wenger to go…

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has called on Arsene Wenger to leave for his own sanity and to realise that he’s no longer the man to take us forward.

Wenger’s future has once again become a hot topic at the club despite the Frenchman extending his contract for another two years in May.

Many had hoped that finishing outside the top four would kick us into action, but it seems that Wenger and club seem wedded to the idea that they aren’t in the business of winning.

After an utter humiliation at Anfield, Wrighy wants Wenger to do the unthinkable and walk away.

“The amount of things that are going wrong, it does come back to Arsene Wenger’s door,” Wrighty said on BBC Radio 5 Live.

“We are three games in and we’re literally at crisis point. We’re losing players.

“People are talking about, ‘Oh the Ox opening the door for Draxler’. Why would Draxler sign?

“When you say, ‘do I think he should go?

“I would like to see him go simply because I do not believe now that Arsene Wenger can motivate those players with everything that’s going on above him, and the way the players are performing on the pitch, for him to turn this around, for himself, for his own sanity.”

It’s not so much an attack on Wenger, but it seems our second highest goalscorer of all-time is worried about the boss’ well-being.

But if he couldn’t see it in May, why will he now?
