Ian Wright can’t bear the thought of seeing Ozil join Man United…
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has made it clear that he’d be extremely disappointed if Mesut Ozil ends up at Manchester United with the German star out of contract in seven months.
Ozil is yet to commit his future to the club despite professing his love for Arsenal on a number of occasions, and many have rumoured that a reunion with Jose Mourinho is on the cards.
Ahead of this Saturday’s clash, Wright believes the set-up and Man United is perfect for a player of Ozil’s ability, a player the Arsenal legend feels isn’t fulfiling his potential at the club.
Mourinho infamously named the 29-year-old as ‘the best No.10 in the world’ during their time together at Real Madrid, despite their differing philosophies.

“Do you know what? That would break my heart,” Wrighty told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“Mesut Ozil on a free to Manchester United on a free looks a shoo-in. I’m sure Jose would love to do that.
“That would frighten me to death. He is a great talent and having great players around him would lift him up as well.”
It’s the fear many of us will have to get used to in the coming months, with Ozil and Alexis able to negotiate with foreign clubs as early as January.
Also, with the wage packets they’d be expecting as Bosman transfers, only a handful of clubs can afford them and the two Manchester clubs are in that conversation.
