Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson continues to raise his reputation across Europe after starting for England’s U21 side against Denmark and capping off his display with a sensational assist.

Nelson, who’s currently tearing it up in Germany for Hoffenheim with six goals in seven Bundesliga appearances, was given a start by Aidy Boothroyd as the U21s looked for a second win in a matter of days.

The 18-year-old produced an impressive cameo for the young lions in their 2-1 win in Italy last week, replacing Leicester City’s Demaray Gray.

Already 3-1 up, Nelson picks up the ball on the right and with the defender clearly ahead of him, a slight jink and sudden burst of pace left the full-back in his wake before he cut the ball back for Solanke to tap home.

It’s that injection of pace in the wide areas which we lack desperately at the club, and one hopes Unai Emery and those above him are looking to add a player of that calibre in January.

In terms of Nelson’s development, he has hinted that there is a chance that he could return in January from his loan spell, though Emery may feel a full season in Germany will do him well.

Check out the piece of skill in the video above.
