Arsenal were given a mammoth tie in the FA Cup as Man United visit the Emirates…

Arsenal were drawn against Manchester United in the FA Cup fourth round draw on Monday night with the history between the two sides in this competition set to have a new chapter.

We dispatched of Blackpool rather swiftly on Saturday to book our place in the hat, while Man United eventually overcame a brave Reading side at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are enjoying a resurgence under former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and have won five games on the bounce in all competitions.

It means that we can draw little conclusion from our trip to Old Trafford earlier this month given that they’ve found their form once again.

This match likely be chosen by either the BBC or BT Sport as a televised encounter which will have a significant bearing on our fixture list.

The FA Cup tie comes directly after the visit of Chelsea in the Premier League and with the Blues three points ahead of us, that could be a defining few weeks for us.

As far as the clash against Manchester United is concerned, a Danny Welbeck winner at Old Trafford gave us the win the last time we faced them in the FA Cup.

We’ve been handed a home tie this time around and the onus will be on us to grab the win in normal time and not allow the game to go to a dreaded replay.
