Arsenal Socials: Gunners Stars React To Hard-Fought Win Against Brentford

Arsenal stars take to social media to celebrate Brentford win…

Arsenal’s stars took to social media to celebrate our hard-fought win at Brentford on Saturday thanks to Kai Havertz’s 89th-minute winner to take us to the summit of the Premier League.

Despite dominating possession, we struggled to break down Thomas Frank’s side and only created a few clear-cut chances – most of which fell to Gabriel Jesus.

The 26-year-old failed to convert from his compatriot Gabriel Martinelli’s cut-back, seeing his deflected effort saved by the goalkeeper.

Jesus had an even easier chance moments later after he was found in acres of space from Bukayo Saka’s clipped ball, but the Brazilian’s header went straight at the goalkeeper.

Leandro Trossard nodded him the rebound but was ruled to be standing in an offside position.

At the other end, Aaron Ramsdale sent pulses racing after handing the ball to Yoan Wissa inside the six-yard box leading to Declan Rice’s heroic block on the line from Bryan Mbuemo’s effort.

In the end, Arteta sent Havertz on a rescue mission, and the German international obliged with his header at the back post from Saka’s cross.

We now enter the intense December schedule leading the pack despite not being at our fluent best and slowly welcoming players back from the treatment room.

Check out the posts below from our stars, including a message from Havertz to the fans who’ve stuck by him during his adaptation period.
