Unai Emery may still be without three key defenders for the visit of Spurs in the Carabao Cup quarter-final clash as Sead Kolasinac, Hector Bellerin and Shkodran Mustafi remain on the treatment table, the club has confirmed.

Kolasinac was absent for the trip to Southampton on Sunday, with the Bosnian picking up a thigh injury in training before the trip to the south coast.

Hector Bellerin limped out of the game at half-time with what has since been confirmed as a calf injury and while the club are still assessing the problem, Emery admitted after the game that he feared he’d be without his compatriot for “some weeks”.

In Mustafi’s case, his suspension wasn’t the only issue keeping him out of the Southampton clash, the German international is still troubled by the hamstring injury he picked up against Huddersfield.

Sokratis returns from suspension while Lichsteiner’s knock which forced him off at St Mary’s isn’t deemed serious enough to keep him out of the clash at the Emirates Stadium.

It will be interesting to see who Emery plays alongside the Greek warrior, or if he feels we need an extra body in there and play with a back three.

The 3-4-3 system caused Spurs all sorts of problems earlier this month, and Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be out for revenge.
