Arsenal’s stars return to London Colney ahead of crucial run…

Arsenal’s international stars are heading back to London Colney over the next 24 hours and it seems as though Mikel Arteta may benefit from what Arsene Wenger used to describe as a ‘miracle’.

While the players will be assessed by the Gunners medical staff upon their return, it seems they’ve all come through their various games unscathed and ready for Saturday’s clash against Chelsea.

Declan Rice played the full 90 minutes in England’s 3-1 win against Italy at Wembley as the Three Lions booked their place at Euro 2024 next summer.

Eddie Nketiah wasn’t named in the matchday squad, while Aaron Ramsdale was an unused substitute and ended the break without getting on the pitch.

In the same group, Zinchenko’s Ukraine defeated Malta to go second and set up an unofficial play-off game against Italy in November to determine who joins England in Germany.

David Raya also saw his Spansh team book their place at Euro 2024 from the substitute bench, while Gunners skipper Martin Odegaard lined up opposite him for Norway with Scandinavian side on the brink.

A place at Euro 2024 can only be won through a Nations League play-off with Odegaard close to missing out on yet another major international competition.

Elsewhere, Takehiro Tomiyasu played the full game for Japan and kept a clean sheet in their 1-0 against Tunisia in a friendly as they prepare for the Asian Games this winter.

Thomas Partey also played in a friendly, losing 4-0 to the USA across the pond, though the 30-year-old got over 60 minutes in his legs as he builds back up to full fitness.

Also in America, Kai Havertz was an unused substitute in Germany’s friendly against Mexico in a game that ended 2-2.

In South America, our Brazilian duo suffered a damaging loss in their World Cup qualifier at Uruguay with both Gabriel and Gabriel Jesus starting the game.
