Arsenal’s stars react to the Burnley win…

Arsenal’s stars took to social media to react to their 3-1 win against Burnley to move us level on points with league-leaders Manchester City.

We took on Vincent Kompany’s men in what was our first Premier League encounter since the debacle at St James’s Park which saw us lose our unbeaten record.

After a cagey first half, Leandro Trossard headed us in front after bravely throwing himself at the ball despite seeing the onrushing James Trafford. The England U21 goalkeeper crashed into the diminutive forward, causing him to collide with the post.

The Belgian international shook off the knock and reappeared for the second half where his contribution would be required yet again.

The newly promoted side grabbed an equaliser shortly after half-time which may still go down as a Gabriel own-goal such was the deflection the ball took.

However, the visitors barely finished celebrating before Trossard swung in a corner which was met by the towering William Saliba who headed home from yards out.

Alexander Zinchenko sealed the three points with a wonderful scissor-kick that saw the ball float into the top corner. Arsenal would have to see out the game with 10 men following the needless sending off of Fabio Vieira late on.

As the players head off to their respective national teams’ camps across the globe, they’ll hopefully return in one piece as club football then takes precedence until March.
