Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed that he’ll return to management in early 2019 though he stated that it won’t be in England given his ties to Arsenal, Sky Sports News reports.

Wenger has been out of a job since resigning from his post as Gunners a boss a year before his contract was set to expire, and he has always maintained that he has no interest in retiring.

The 68-year-old may have overestimated his demand on the marketplace and although we’re not fully aware of any interest, he wasn’t inundated with offers.

Wenger has since been fulfilling his punditry requirements with beIN SPORTS and after returning from Russia for the World Cup, it seems the Frenchman is ready to work.

Despite his eagerness, Wenger has made it clear that he will not take a job in England given his emotional ties to us.

“Certainly at the beginning of 2019,” Wenger said

“At the moment I’m having a good rest and I watch football a lot. I said many times maybe, the best way is not to be in England because I spent so much time at the same club it would seem odd to go somewhere else.

“But at the moment I cannot tell you [about my future] because I don’t know.”

It will be interesting to see which type of offers Wenger gets given that the top European Clubs are in an arms race for some of the youngest elite coaches.

Ahead of Euro 2020, a national team job could be ideal.
