Arsene Wenger’s BT Sport nightmare…

Arsene Wenger is a respected figure in the game and in the build-up to his 20th anniversary as Arsenal boss, BT Sport conducted an awkward Q&A session with the Gunners boss.

Presenter Jake Humphrey was invited to London Colney to conduct the interview, picking out questions from fans on Facebook to put to the Arsenal boss.

Rather than weave through the question posted by trolls and focus on what’s important, the BT Sport employee felt it was appropriate to ask Wenger those questions.

After Wenger stated that the cons of social media were that excessive comments were given too much creed, Jake clearly didn’t take heed.

“Stuart Younger wonders whether you’d beat Jose Mourinho in a fight,” the Presenter asked Arsene Wenger.

“That’s a little bit the excessiveness of social media, it gives importance to things that are not so important,” Wenger reminded Mr. Humphrey.

“It’s better that we talk about the quality of the game.”

Despite the classy response from Wenger, eager to avoid a ‘war of words’ headline with his nemesis Jose Mourinho, the presenter still didn’t get the hint: “But you’d win the fight, right?”

It was an absolute car-crash of an interview.
