[Audio] Thierry Henry Laments Jamie Vardy’s Hesitation In Joining Arsenal

Arsenal icon Thierry Henry has lamented Jamie Vardy’s indecision regarding his protracted move to the Gunners this summer after we activated his release clause.

Vardy, 29, scored 24 goals in the Premier League last season as Leicester City clinched the title in what was arguably the biggest fairytale story in English football history.

Henry believes that at Vardy’s age, the offer from Arsenal represents a final opportunity to play for one of Europe’s elite and the Frenchman states that Vardy’s decision is a no-brainer.

“He’s 29, right? You have Arsenal coming for you, & you’re telling them you’re going to think about it?!” Henry said with a hint of curiosity in his voice.

“Listen. All I can say is if I was playing for Leicester & I had Arsenal coming, I would have gone.”

Vardy is yet to make a decision on his future will no doubt worry both Arsenal and Leicester City, though any potential deal will inevitably leave a bitter taste for us fans given the striker’s hesitation.
