Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka made his Premier League debut after coming on for Alex Iwobi in our 4-1 against Fulham on New Year’s Day and the 17-year-old is adamant that he will not rest on his laurels.

Saka is arguably the most exciting youngster coming through the ranks and after his impressive full debut in the Europa League, the hype may be justified.

Saka didn’t get a touch during his minutes on the pitch but it’s certainly a moment he’ll never forget and the end of a very difficult journey.

Very few players make it all the way through the ranks to make their Premier League debut and the few that do certainly have bright futures.

As a blistering winger with sensational close control, Saka possesses qualities we lack in the first-team and it makes sense to see Unai Emery include him in the matchday squad.

“Right now I’m feeling so happy,” the starlet told Arsenal Player.

“I feel blessed to have made my debut and get minutes on the pitch. I just want to thank my family, my friends and everyone at the club who’s helped me to get to this stage.

“It’s been a tough stage, a long stage, but through hard work and determination, I managed to get here.

“I’m not stopping now. I’m very hungry. I just want to work hard with every chance I get. In training, I just want to impress the coach so I can get back on the pitch.”

With the FA Cup clash coming up on Saturday, Saka will certainly be hoping to get a more significant run-out as he looks to further make an impression.
