Arsenal starlet Emile Smith Rowe spoke to BT Sport following our 3-0 against Vorskla in Ukraine as temperatures reached sub-zero.

Smith Rowe started yet another Europa League clash, his fourth this season, and it was his goal which set us off to a dominant start.

Eddie Nketiah bundled the ball into the area a few ricochets saw the ball find its way to the 18-year-old midfielder who finished with just one touch.

It’s his second goal in this competition, his first coming on yet another draining drip with Belarus as we defeated Qarabag by the same scoreline.

After the game, the England youngster spoke about finding the net yet again, and the team’s ambition in this competition.

“My fingers and my toes are very cold, but you’ve just got to get on with it. t was a good win for us and a few lads got their debuts, so we’re just happy to get the win.

“Every cup we’re in we want to win. We’re improving in every game and I’m very happy to be involved.”

Speaking on his third goal in all competitions this season, he said: “You know what, I’ve probably scored more in away games too!

“I was a bit shocked [about the disallowed goal] but because there wasn’t a lot of fans no one was celebrating.

“I thought it was offside as well, but it’s happened and I’m happy to just score anyway.”

With our fate secured in terms of qualifying for the next stage of the Europa League, Smith Rowe could look to start another game in our financial fixture against Qarabag.
