Graeme Souness: Arsenal Full Of Players Who Accept Disappointment

Graeme Souness previews Arsenal’s campaign…

When Graeme Souness speaks on Arsenal, he’s very rarely wrong. The former Newcastle United boss has expressed his frustrations at our failure on many occasions over the past few years.

Given that when he was an established Premier League boss, the Scotsman was playing against an Arsenal side regularly competing to win the title.

Not much has changed in his narrative for this season, with Souness believing that we still need leaders in the squad and thinks Wenger should add two more players.

“I never see an Arsenal player having an argument with another Arsenal player,” Souness explained.

“Disappointments seem accepted by them.”

That last statement is pretty damning and few could argue with it after the repeated failures we’ve seen over the past few years.

However, with the arrival of Granit Xhaka, at least we’ve acquired a player with real pedigree and leadership skills – though we’re crying out for a few more additions.
