Granit Xhaka: It Felt Good To Make Up For My Mistake With Two Assists

Granit Xhaka happy to help out…

Granit Xhaka spoke of his delight at making up for his error against Leicester City after the Swiss star laid on two assists in the final minutes of the game to hand us all three points.

Xhaka’s wayward pass inside his own half led to Jamie Vardy’s first goal of the game which caused us to be 2-1 down at home on the opening day.

While two more goals ensued before Xhaka conducted the rescue act, he revealed that error was clearly on his mind throughout the clash.

The 24-year-old played a wonderful pass to Aaron Ramsey for the equaliser at 3-3 and delivered the corner which Olivier Giroud powered home.

“The second goal for Leicester was my mistake but it was important that I kept working,” Xhaka told Arsenal Player.
“I wasn’t nervous after the mistake – and the two assists were important for the team. I’m happy for the win.
“We started very well after we made mistakes and gave Leicester two goals. But we won, that’s important and we’ll keep working hard and looking forward.”
Xhaka has gone under the radar over the past few months as a key man in this new system after a rather erratic start to his Arsenal career.
Check out his take on the 4-3 win in the video above.
