Granit Xhaka Hails “Perfect” Run Of Form After Huddersfield Win

Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka proud of the points we picked up from our last four games…

Arsenal playmaker Granit Xhaka has hailed our recent form as “perfect” after we ended a week of three Premier League games with seven points following our last-gasp win against Huddersfield.

Many claimed that we’d find out about us after playing Spurs and Man Utd within the span of four days, and we came out with four points from those games.

Not only were the results admirable, but we also dominated both games and had it not been for a weird, defensive error from Sead Kolasinac, we would’ve won our first game at Old Trafford since 2006.

However, Xhaka, adding the trip to Bournemouth the previous week, viewed those fixtures as a specific block and picking up 10 points from a possible 12 is “perfect” form as far as the midfielder’s concerned.

“We started away at Bournemouth, Tottenham at home, Manchester United away, today. I think it is perfect for us,” Xhaka told BBC Sport.

“We still have a lot of things to improve, of course, but we can be happy. It is not normal to go 21 matches unbeaten.

“We have to believe from the first minute to the end and again we showed a good character.”

Xhaka missed the trip to Manchester United due to amassing five yellow yards and his influence is keenly felt when he’s absent.

Matteo Guendouzi has been a revelation this season but the 19-year-old cannot match his senior’s ability to dictate a game and find players through the lines.
