Images: Gabriel Jesus Returns As Arsenal Train Ahead Of Fulham Clash

Gabriel Jesus provides Arsenal with injury boost…

Arsenal were handed a welcome boost in training on Thursday as Gabriel Jesus returned following his knee procedure last month.

The former Man City man was feeling pain in the same knee which saw him miss four months of our campaign last term and had to get the issue rectified.

Mikel Arteta made it clear that he would be out “for a few weeks”, though many thought the manager was underplaying the problem and feared the worst.

Jesus was looking sharp in pre-season, with his final outing coming in our game against Barcelona in Los Angeles where he looked back to his best.

In his absence, Eddie Nketiah and Kai Havertz have deputised and while we’ve won all three games, the aforementioned duo scored one goal between them.

Jesus isn’t necessarily the most prolific striker in the league, but we’re certainly a more potent attacking force with the 26-year-old leading the line.

Elsewhere, Arteta put the rest of the squad through their paces with Jurrien Timber the only absentee through injury.

Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney, Folarin Balogun, Sambi Lokonga, Nuno Tavares, Cedric and Nicolas Pepe were also missing with their future uncertain ahead of the final days of the window.

Check out the images above from Thursday’s session.
