Man United’s incoming owners INEOS are fans of Arsenal…

Manchester United’s incoming minority owners INEOS are set to undergo a process of rearranging the football club and have pointed to Arsenal’s process as a source of inspiration, Sky Sports reports.

Arsenal’s process over the past four years, led by Edu and Mikel Arteta with the full backing of the club’s KSE ownership, is the envy of many sleeping giants – especially in England.

Arteta has revolutionised the dressing room and the day-to-day culture at the club, sacrificing any individual who wasn’t conducive to that culture – irrespective of their stature or wage bracket.

On the surface, the position Man United currently find themselves in does seem similar to what we were a few years ago and it’s flattering to see the former Premier League giants taking notes.

According to the report, Sir Jim Radcliffe’s incoming leadership group have pointed towards Arsenal’s willingness to cut their losses and cut contracts of underperforming stars as a method to keep in mind.

The likes of Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe ended their Arsenal careers via ‘mutual termination of their agreements’.

Jadon Sancho is a player that may fall into that category for the Red Devils with the England international banished from the first-team squad since September.

INEOS are set to purchase a 25% stake in the club on the proviso that they will be in charge of the sporting decisions and if they’re serious about following our blueprint, they need to decide on Erik Ten Hag

A process must start with a figurehead and if Radcliffe isn’t sure about the man currently in charge of steering the ship, he must be brave and show him the door.

Hopefully, it takes him a while to come to a conclusion!
