Arsenal have confirmed that Nacho Monreal, Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny, Hector Bellerin, Dinos Mavropanos and Mesut Ozil have returned to full training.

Dinos Mavropanos is the most significant update in the latest bulletin from the club with the Greek starlet back in full training for the first time this season.

After a promising end to the last campaign, the hopes for Mavropanos this term were high and many hoped Unai Emery would try to nurture him.

He’s been out with a groin problem since the summer and although we haven’t heard news of a procedure being conducted, it’s taken a while to heal.

Monreal, Bellerin, Mustafi and Koscielny’s injuries have exacerbated our defensive problems and Emery will be relieved to be able to call upon an almost full-strength defence.

It leaves Rob Holding as our only defensive casualty as the 23-year-old recovers from his cruciate ligament injury picked up at Manchester United.

Ozil is back too! The club claimed that the German star was suffering from a knee problem which seemed to flare up after he was left out of the squad which travelled to Liverpool.

He’s been absent since being dragged off at half-time at Brighton and despite being fully fit, it still remains to be seen if he’ll be included in the squad by Emery. For a player of Ozil’s quality, it remains baffling that predicament could even arise.

A win at West Ham is vital ahead of the visit of Chelsea to the Emirates Stadium next week if we’re to claw our way back into the top four.
