Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is an avid supporter of our youth system and is very much a mentor to the next generation of Arsenal stars set to emerge in the future.

The 23-year-old is arguably one of our most successful academy products, arriving at the Hale End centre at the age of nine. Wilshere has since grown into a senior international midfielder, though injuries have certainly hampered his development.

Speaking to Arsenal Player this week, Wilshere picked the two youngsters us fans should keep an eye on as they look to make a breakthrough this season – similar to that of Alex Iwobi and Hector Bellerin in the past two campaigns.

According to Wilshere, midfielders Chris Willock and Jeff Reine-Adelaide have made the most significant impression on him and he’s tipped them to achieve great things at the club.
