Arsenal’s Ozil Relives His Assist For Danny Welbeck vs Leicester City

By The Editor
on 23rd May 2016

One of the highlights from what was a disappointing season last year was undoubtedly our dramatic win against Leicester City, although it later counted for nothing.

The champions held on for 94 minutes with 10-men and while it looked like they’ll snatch a point from the Emirates Stadium, Mesut Ozil delivered the perfect delivery into the box for the returning Danny Welbeck to head home.

It was a sensational moment – one only last-minute goals can deliver – and Ozil goes through his thought process just before his delivery.

“If the ball is coming between the goalkeeper and the penalty point, especially in this area, it will be very difficult for the defence,” Ozil explained.

Check out Ozil’s recollection on the goal in the clip above.
