Mo Farah thanks Arsenal fans after historic win…

Mo Farah thanked Arsenal fans and Arsene Wenger after his dramatic win in the 10,000-metre race in the World Championships at the Olympic Stadium in London.

It was Mo’s 10th gold medal in succession and the most decorated British athlete of all time is gearing up to claim another double when he competes in the 5,000-metre next week.

The Olympic gold medalist is a self-confessed Arsenal fans and has even been invited to train with the first team at London Colney on a few occasions.

It’s clearly a club dear to his heart and he took a moment to thanks the Gooners around the world for their support, and he also revealed that Wenger was in the stands to watch the race.

“Thank you to all my Arsenal fans,” Mo said to the BBC as they were ready to close the interview.

“And, Wenger, the big boss was here watching me I hear.”

Mo is a classy character and it seems all the elite athletes who’re revered around the world are Arsenal fans, with Roger Federer flying the flag in the tennis world.

One hopes that Mo can finally be handed the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
