Paris Saint-Germain are looking to sneak in ahead of the competition and make a move to sign Aaron Ramsey in January by offering us a transfer fee, L’Equipe reports.

Ramsey is out of contract next summer and while it was anticipated that he’d wait until June to analyse all offers and maximise his financial potential, moving in January is an interesting option.

According to the report, Thomas Tuchel is still seeking a replacement for Thiago Motta who left the French capital last summer, and the Ligue 1 champions are thin in terms of options in midfield.

Ramsey’s future was decided a few months ago when a contract which was on the table for him to sign was suddenly removed by the club.

The 28-year-old spoke about his sadness at the turn of events, but it seems he’s been deemed surplus to requirements by Unai Emery.

Despite starting our first five Premier League games, the former Cardiff man has been used sparingly since then by the new manager further indicating his dwindling importance.

Ramsey has also been heavily linked with Bayern Munich and Juventus, which add further confusion to the current predicament.

As a club no longer competingĀ at Europe’s top table, it’s rather odd that those European giants all see room for Aaron Ramsey in their squad yet we’ve deemed him replaceable.
