Shkodran Mustafi Speaks: “Joining Arsenal Was An Easy Decision”

Shkodran Mustafi has spoken publically for the first time since joining Arsenal with the defender giving an interview to Sky Sports News in Germany on Sunday.

Mustafi confirmed that he’s signed on a five-year deal and spoke to Mesut Ozil before joining Arsenal to find out more about the club.

The deal to bring the 24-year-old to Arsenal turned into somewhat of a saga with a deal seemingly in the dirt last week, only for news to break that we’d agreed a €40m fee with Valencia.

“I talked to Mesut, he told me everything I wanted to know,” Mustafi said about his Germany teammate.

“It did not take much (to convince me), I’ve always loved the club Arsenal.”

Mustafi is away on international duty with Germany at the moment and we’ll know doubt keep an eagle eye out for their games to see our new signing in action.
