Squawka editor George Elek believes that there are serious concerns about Arsene Wenger’s future and believes that Saturday could mark his final trip to Stamford Bridge as an Arsenal manager.
Wenger’s contract is up this summer and the boss has given little indication as to whether he intends to extend his contract and even said he’ll leave it as late as April to make a decision (via the Mirror).
After repeatedly claiming that he wants to honestly self-asses his performance at the end of the campaign, it would be hard to see Wenger justify an extension if we end up trophyless once again.
“I think everyone is aware that he really wants to go out with a success, he wants to go out winning the league, ” George told London Live.
“The clock is ticking now, there has to be a question as to whether or not this is his last season.”
