Arsenal boss Unai Emery refused to close the door on the transfer window despite accepting that he’s happy with his current squad, ESPN reports.

Emery was speaking after our penalty shootout win against Chelsea in Dublin after a 1-1 draw, and with a week to go before the window slams shut our head coach is keeping his options open.

We’ve added five first-team players during the close season thanks to the swift work of the likes of Sven Mislintat and Raul Sanllehi. Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichsteiner, Sokratis, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi have arrived to strengthen the squad.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the future of Aaron Ramsey, we haven’t lost any important first-team players which should strengthen our squad.

In terms of any incomings, Emery says he’d be happy if the window closed tonight.

“At the moment, I’m very happy with the players that are here with us,” the Spaniard said.

“We also have others still to come, like Nacho Monreal, Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka, who will start to get minutes on Saturday.

“I am telling you that we’re speaking inside and we are OK. There is only a possibility that we sign someone if it’s a good opportunity.”

We’re clearly lacking in options out wide though it’s hard to see us adding significantly for the remainder of the window given the ‘resitricted budget’ we’ve so often heard about.
