Reported Arsenal target Yacine Adli has decided against a move to north London and instead decided to extend his stay at Paris Saint-Germain, the French champions have confirmed.
Adli, who was out of contract this summer, was by all intents and purposes an Arsenal player as reports emerged that a deal had been agreed (via the Mirror).
The 17-year-old playmaker was also reportedly spotted at King’s Cross in London, the arrival destination for travelling from mainland Europe via the Eurostar.
However, despite speaking to his former boss Unai Emery who gave him his first-team debut in the French cup last season, Adli has decided to remain in France.
Though this does prove that Emery and Sven Mislintat aren’t done in the market and when it comes to talents for the future, there isn’t an opportunity they’ll pass on.
This doesn’t really represent a significant blow given that Adli wouldn’t have realistically made contributions to our first-team hopes next season.
