Arsenal new boy Alexandre Lacazette was looking sharp in training ahead of our pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich in Shanghai with the squad being put through their paces in sweltering conditions.

Flying from Sydney, who’re in their winter season, to arrive in Shanghai – where temperatures are reaching as high as 36℃ -must’ve been a culture shock to the players.

We’re set to face Bayern and Premier League champions Chelsea during our week-long stay in China, matches which undoubtedly test where the players are at on all levels.

Also, with this relatively new 3-4-3 system Arsene Wenger seems intent on sticking to, it’s imperative that we face some tough tests ahead of the new season.

Lacazette will be looking to have some game time in his favoured position after appearing on the left in the two pre-season games in Australia.

The 26-year-old took the position usually occupied by Alexis Sanchez in the new system, leading to fans feeling rather anxious about what Wenger has planned for the new season.

As fans, we’re looking forward to that first Lacazette and Ozil combination.
