Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi is a self-confessed Arsenal fan and has backed us to finally reclaim the Premier League title next season.

Ajayi, who’s become a huge success in the NFL, was born in London to Nigerian parents and has grown up loving Arsenal and football in general.

His passion for the club hasn’t waned during his time in the States, and the 24-year-old expressed his excitement at the fact that we beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

Finishing outside the top four was an obvious disappointment, but the excitement of lifting silverware at Wembley is always a welcome sight.

“Sadly we didn’t make the Champions League cut this season so I needed something to just end the season right,” Ajayi told Sports Center.

“We were able to get that win against Chelsea so that helped me a little bit for this summer.

“Leading up to this new season, we’re going to take the top right back.”

Before then, transfer business must be conducted in the window if we’re to close the gap on those teams above us and ultimately surpass them.

Arsene Wenger signed a new deal against many fans’ wishes, the least he can do is prove that change is coming by opting to spend big on huge players to bolster the squad.
