Arsenal starlet Rob Holding reveals who his childhood team were…

Arsenal starlet Rob Holding revealed in an episode of ‘One to One’ that he was a childhood Manchester United fan, though those ties have now been severed after he joined us.

Speaking to Emi Martinez about their paths to Arsenal’s first team, Holding stated that Man United were the closest team to him geographically and so he ended up supporting them.

After joining Bolton as a schoolboy, the 20-year-old stated that he still looked out for the results of both teams, but that’s no longer the case after his big move to north London.

“No, I was a Man United fan,” Holding told Emi Martinez during their discussion.

“Obviously I still follow Bolton and I don’t really follow United as much anymore.

“I’m an Arsenal fan and a Bolton fan now I’d say.”

Holding produced a sensational display in a back-three in the semi-final win against Manchester City on Sunday, heightening the level or praise he’s already received this campaign.

He was one of the arrivals who slipped under the radar last summer given the modest £2million fee we paid for him, yet he’s transforming into the most impressive one.

The ex-Bolton man remains a young prospect given his position though he’s certainly showing signs of developing into a top class Premier League centre-back.
