Former Arsenal star Kevin Campbell and his namesake Sol Campbell appeared on SkySportsNewsHQ to recap the weekend’s Premier League action and the two had their say on our win against Burnley.

Alexis Sanchez netted an injury-time penalty to hand us all three points in what was a controversial game which we ended with 10-men and without a manager on the bench.

Arsene Wenger had been sent off for protesting the penalty awarded to Burnley in the 92nd minute, and the boss may well receive further punishment in the coming days.

However, with Alexis the undoubted hero of the day, our two former players believe that it’s imperative we tie the Chilean down to a new contract.

“Pay the man!” Kevin Campbell pleaded with the Arsenal board after Sol stated that talks may have stalled due to finances.

“Pay him. Any Arsenal fan out there will tell you, ‘pay the man’.”

Alexis proved that he’s committed to the cause given how hard he fought to snatch the win in the final moments of the game, and hopefully, we can offer him the pay packet he wants.
