The latest instalment of Arsenal Nation was published on the club’s official YouTube channel and an important topic was discussed by the panel.

Following Mikel Arteta’s departure last summer, the captaincy issue has been at the forefront of most Arsenal fans’ minds and with Per Mertesacker set to miss a chunk of the new season, surely Arsene Wenger needs to name a long-term skipper.

It was expected that Per would assume the role given that he wore the armband for much of last season, but that’s no longer a given.

Joel from Cheeky Sport believes it’s imperative that we give the armband to someone who embodies the stereotypical qualities associated with the honour, while Dave believes that having leaders across the pitch is more imperative.
