Petr Cech Lavishes Praise On “Extraordinary” Mesut Ozil

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech agreed with the fanbase regarding their awarding of Mesut Ozil as our player of the season with the former Chelsea man stating that the German has “set the bar high.”

Ozil finished the campaign with eight goals and 20 assists in all competitions, making it one of his most efficient seasons to date and also landed him a nomination for PFA Player of the Season.

While our form as a team dwindled in the second half of the season, Ozil didn’t really experience too many rough patches during the campaign.

Cech praises Ozil’s vision in the clip above and is especially impressed by the 27-year-old’s ability to pick the right option in a matter of seconds.

Ozil’s glorious campaign should’ve ended in silverware, but the profligacy from our strikers prevented us from lifting our first title in 12 years.
