Report: Everton Are Not After Wilfried Zaha Despite Continuous Links

Everton were said to be looking to hijack our Wilfried Zaha deal…
Everton are reportedly not currently interested in making a move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha despite the constant links claim the Blues are aiming to hijack our deal for the Ivorian, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Zaha is looking to depart Selhurst Park this summer and his brother confirmed that Arsenal was the 26-year-old’s dream move given that he’s supported them since his childhood.
According to the Echo, while the Toffees are looking to add an ‘exciting attacking’ player, Zaha is not currently on their wishlist.
We, in turn, have had a £40million bid rejected for Zaha with Palace looking for double that figure – an offer which was almost as ridiculous as the infamous ‘£40m and £1’ offer for Luis Suarez all those years ago.
Arsenal fans are still baffled as to how to we can afford a player who’s valued as £80m if our budget is around the £45m mark, but we’re equally hopeful that the club can pull it off.
Also, after Josh Kroenke spoke to Arsenal Player last month and encouraged fans to “be excited” about the incoming business, we could do nothing but assume that some serious business would be done.
As a team, we’re desperate for a wide player – a position which hindered us last season especially away from home where our form was desperately poor.

Having said that, the sudden links to Everton reeks of figures at Palace aiming to rush Arsenal into making another offer closer to their valuation
The south London side have an unhappy player on their hands whose value may plummet next season if he’s too busy sulking, and they may be keen to cash-in now.
With just over two weeks of the transfer window remaining, the words of Kroenke are still ringing in fans’ ears and many are waiting with bated breaths to see who comes through the door.
We’re a squad need major surgery but also understand our restrictions and, therefore, I’ll personally happily settle for four additions – a centre back, left-back, a central midfielder and a winger. Get it done!
