Sunday Supplement: Journalists Debate Whether Vardy Should’ve Joined Arsenal

Sunday Supplement is back and as ever, Arsenal has become a popular topic to discuss for some of England’s top journalists. Following Leicester City’s defeat to Hull, Shaun Custis and Andy Dunn debated whether or not Jamie Vardy should’ve moved to Arsenal this summer.

We activated the 29-year-old’s release clause back in June, yet the Leicester City man ended up rejecting our move and extending his contract with the champions.

The existence of the clause gives the indication that Vardy wanted to have the option of an exit but clearly didn’t feel Arsenal was the right fit for him.

Shaun Custis and Andy Dunn were clearly of a difference of opinion regarding which path Vardy should’ve taken.
